Memorial Day Weekend

We had an amazing time with Brad and Ashley this past weekend.  It was so fun to have all of the kids together.
Chance adores Adrian and literally mimics his every move.

We all spent a lot of time just watching them laugh and play together.

We got the water table out for the kids to have some fun in the water.

Chance was an animal once he figured out how to work the hose.

He loved trying to spray Adrian as he ran around the yard.

Adrian got his turn to spray Chance too, but Chance didn't even attempt to run!

Kennedy loved getting wet and was so completely adorable!

Sunday we all walked down to the Farmer's Market to take in the atmosphere.

I love that even when Chance is playing he always checks in with "sister" to make sure she is still there...I guess he hasn't figured out that she can't walk away on her own yet.

We spent the rest of Sunday night making dinner at home and playing with the kids.  It was the perfect weekend with family and we are so thankful that Brad and Ashley made the long trip to visit us and meet Savannah.

Brad and Ashley left on Monday morning and I thought Max was going to work on the garage all day.  When he said that he would spend the day relaxing with us, I quickly loaded up the kids to leave the house so that he couldn't change his mind :)
We headed off to City Park to play with Chance on the GIANT playground.

The entire weekend was a blast! I love that it was spent in the sunshine and with COUSINS!

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing Mother's Day weekend at home.

The sun was shining all weekend long and we took full advantage of park season.

We took the wagon to Wash Park to meet up with our friends on Saturday.  We spent all day at the park and had an amazing day.

Savannah and I relaxed in the shade while Chance and Nick played soccer.

Max treated me to dinner at Hanson's for a Mother's Day treat.

It was very special to be able to enjoy a day together.

This has become one of my favorite sights around the house lately :)

I think Max and I are adjusting well to tag teaming when it comes to parenting.  Sometimes it's comical because it seems like all Savannah wants to do is sleep (which is awesome for a newborn), and Chance wants to do anything but sleep.

I know this time will go fast so I am loving every minute with my sleepy girl and my busy boy.  I'm a very proud mommy.  Thanks to my family for making me feel so special on Mother's day.

Savannah's Newborn Photo Shoot

This business of photography is tricky.  I kept trying to take pictures of Savannah to send to y'all, but I kept getting creepy shots with one eye open and one eye closed.  If  both of Savannah's eyes were closed her bow would completely fall into her face.  Ugh...
We've all heard the saying..."If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!"
Well, I knew Savannah was not going to be a newborn long enough for me to keep trying, so I decided it was time to call in a professional.
Lucky for me...I happen to know one of the best bloggers and photographers in the business.  Enter Ms. Lauren Grier.

Thankfully, all it took was a "please Lauren please" and a promise of a patio happy hour to employ Laruen and her professional phtotography skills for the day.

Lauren will tell you that she has never photographed a newborn before and she claims that her specialty is food, but I'm not sure if I believe her.
I could not be happier with the results.

I knew Lauren was crazy talented and I'm so thankful that I can call her a friend...and ask her to come and photograph my babies again and again!
Thank you Lauren.  You are the best!

I hope you all enjoy the pictures.  We sure had a lot of fun taking them.
