4th of July Weekend

Our 4th of July weekend was amazing!
We had Barb watch the kids on the 3rd of July so that we could go out with our friend Matt Fountaine who was in town.

We went to a house party downtown with a rooftop view of the fireworks from the Rockies game.
It was great to just relax and catch up with friends.

We woke up bright and early on the 4th and took both Chance and Savannah hiking.  Chance is a trooper and is walking most of the hikes on his own now.

After the hike, we took the kids to Centennial Center Park where they have a big playground and a splash park.

Savannah is a total water baby.  She can not get enough of splashing!

Chance just runs in circles and laughs.

We all needed naps in the afternoon because we knew that we had suite tickets in the evening for the Lacrosse game at the Broncos Stadium.

Cook hooked us up with tickets and it was perfect to let the kids run around the suite during the game.

After the game we got escorted onto the field for the fireworks show.

Savannah did great and didn't act frightened at all.

Chance is an old pro now and loved every minute of the show.

We were lucky to have so many friends in town to celebrate with.

We had such a great time, we might make it a new tradition.

Chutes and Ladders

One of our favorite ways of spending time together in the evenings is by going to the park.

As you can see we have two little monkeys.
They are both fearless and love their slides.
We hope you enjoy the pictures.

Megan and Ben's Weddding

We had ONE day home in Denver before we had to leave for Vail to be a part of Ben and Megan's wedding.  I closed on my third house, we kissed our babies goodbye at Barb's and hit the road for Vail.

We made it to the rehearsal with two whole minutes to spare.

The rehearsal went off with out a hitch and then it was in the shuttle for an amazing drive up the mountains to Red Cliff Colorado.

Ben's family rented out a Mexican restaurant for the night and the meal was incredible.  It was more than fun to drink margaritas and talk with old friends from college.

Megan paid for the bridal party to stay in a mountain mansion, but I passed on the rehearsal night so that I could spend the night sans kids with Max.

We woke up early to walk around Vail Village together and so that we could brunch on the deck by the river.

After brunch...it was all bridal party bliss for me.  I was completely focused on helping this lady look her best....it's a tough job, but someone had to do it :)

One might mention that this job was so extremely difficult that I got an airbrush makeup treatment and a mimosa while at work.

After getting all dolled up it was straight to the turtle bus for pictures with the bridal party in Vail.

We laughed so hard and it was just about as fun as an afternoon posing for pictures could be...

Max wisely spent his time mountain biking up Vail mountain.

He is also a secret photography stud!

After pictures the nerves really set in...just kidding.  Megan and Ben were finally going to make it official.  It only took approximately 14 years....

Love this sign because it is true.

The wedding went beautifully and I think I only cried once.  That's a win.

I apologize for not having more pictures of the reception.  I'm pretty sure I was trying not to cry and dancing.....

Oh yes...the dancing....was so fantastic. Not a filled seat in the house!

We ended the night with a continuation party at the bridal house complete with the DJ and leftover wedding beer and wine.
To say that we had fun would be an understatement!

Congrats to Megan and Ben and thanks to all of our friends for making these nights so special and this life so amazing.
Love truly does make the world go around.
