Fall Activities

We've spent the past few weekends embracing the season and all of the activities it has to offer.

We enjoyed the corn maze at the Botanical Gardens.

We let Chance lead the way...which turned out to be a good move.  Little man knows his way through a maze.  Savannah is usually about a foot away from daddy.

Chance got really comfortable in the corn maze and started exclaiming when he saw dead ends and booby traps :)

The kids made our night.  They absolutely loved chasing each other through the maze.  They laughed for hours.

I used to be afraid of corn mazes, but I think these two have cured me.

Platt Park Parents hosted a pumkin decorating event last Saturday.

We were guarded by super heroes

and made the perfect pumpkin!

Chance's masterpiece.

We even had enough time to enjoy a few jumps in the leaves.  I kind of wish it could be fall forever.

Telluride

We were lucky enough to be invited to this magical place called Telluride by Ben Reser and Megan Savage.  Ben works for a company that manages these amazing properties, and every once in a while...we get to play pretend and stay in them for  few days.

We are so grateful to have friends who think enough of us to invite us to share this morning view with them.

We took off on Friday and Monday so that we could enjoy our visit.  Even though Telluride is in Colorado, it's easily a 6-8 hour drive.

Max, Ben, and Megan spent Friday working from the house.  Max was studying for his SE exam for the majority of the weekend.  I took advantage of being away from both therapy and real estate clients and spent the day with these two little people.

We made breakfast, went swimming, and explored the town.
Made the discovery that Savannah really likes to look surprised at herself in the mirror.

On Friday evening, the York's, the Westerman's, and Nick all made their way into town after work.  Ben made everyone an amazing pasta dinner.  We all ate and then went to bed fairly early as everyone was exhausted.

I really wanted to go for a long hike because the leaves were all changing colors and it was absolutely gorgeous outside.

We had to make a pit stop at the playground before our hike...of course :)

I loved being with the kids all day.  It was great to not feel rushed.  I got a lot of quality time with them and tons of laughable photographs.

Obligatory Gonodola Selfie!

This view is something I could look at every.day!

Our hike was amazing! Chance is a trooper and pretty much hikes the entire route himself now.  I don't do anything super hard, but still.  He is awesome.

Savannah is still generally happy in the back pack.  Thank goodness.

After our hike.  We sat for a bit while Savannah slept.  We threw rocks.

We called Superman....

and then I asked my children to stand in the middle of the street so that I get these pictures.

We spent the remainder of the weekend following a very specific agenda.  Eat breakfast, hike, wander around town, eat again, sleep...repeat.

We did find time to build a little fort and watch some football.

Even fit in a little wine time.

It was the perfect trip to relax and unplug.
Until next time Telluride...Stay Beautiful!
