Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend at home.
Chance and Savannah are at an amazingly fun age.  I stayed home with them on Good Friday.  They were great and went on all my errands with me as well as to the real estate office....I decided to treat them to ice cream for their work for the day :)

We went to the Platt Park Easter egg  hunt on Saturday morning.  Chance was a little skeptical about the whole process...

He got super excited about the egg countdown, but then had a melt down seconds before it was time to hunt for eggs :(
OH WELL....by the time he was done freaking out most of the eggs were gone, but lucky for Chance a random little girl handed him a golden egg because she found two and shared half of her eggs with him.
Good job Chance... you must be cute or something :)

Great turn out for the egg hunt!

Savannah and I took a tour of the neighborhood fire engine.
We spent the rest of the day hanging out, watching movies, and making dinner.

We woke up early on Easter morning and let the kids open their packages from Grandma and Grandpa!

The kids were spoiled with all of their favorite things.
Bubbles and candy and whistles...OH MY!

 Our little Easter Bunny!

Our love bugs! They hug all of the time and we could not be happier about it!

 Mister Chance

Miss Savannah...aka Tinker Bell to Chance

Took the kids to Easter Service and had a great time...listened to a wonderful message.
The church had an Easter egg hunt following the service.

Chance seemed to understand the rules this time ;)

It was completely beautiful and a great day for church and an egg hunt.

Feeling lucky for all that we have been blessed with on this Easter weekend!

Max's Birthday

We celebrated Max's 34th Birthday this year by taking in a Rockies baseball afternoon game.
Max's birthday was in the middle of the week, so we both took the day off so that we could spend the day together.

We started off by riding our bikes downtown.
We stopped for brunch at a new restaurant near our neighborhood that I thought Max would really like.  It's called Denver Biscuit Company.
The brunch was a amazing and Max was definitely a fan of the build your own biscuit breakfast menu.

After brunch we continued on our bike ride and stopped at the ViewHouse downtown.  We played bean bags...

and sat on the rooftop for a beer in the sunshine.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at the baseball game cheering on the Rockies.

After the game we headed home to get Chance and Savannah.  We went to Pasquini's in our neighborhood for dinner.

Chance loves building snow men right now.  You can imagine how happy he was when Max showed him that you can also make a snow man out of pizza dough.
We had so much fun playing with the kids and making all kinds of snow men.

Most importantly, I think that Max had a special day.

Spring Skiing

We have not been skiing much this year at all! Max gets to go every month for work, but I had not been skiing on the mountain in over two years.

Max had agreed to let me tag along on his last marketing event for the year so that I could have a day on the mountain.

We went to Cooper Mountain which is one of my favorites.  We had a blast spending the day together.  I don't remember skiing being so exhausting though.  My legs were burning the entire day.

We went to a happy hour at the base of the mountain with some of Max's co-workers and met some new people who had also attended the event.

We decided to make a weekend of it when Ben invited us to stay with him at one of his places in Breckenridge.  Ben does property management for a company that manages vacation homes for investors.  When no one is scheduled to be using the places, Ben is allowed to use them for his friends and family.

We had never been to the house in Breckenridge before.  It was beautiful.

The wildlife is very tame.  This little fox kept coming up to the deck and looking in.  Someone must feed him all of the time.

There is nothing better than spending a day on the mountain and then spending time with close friends.

We had a great weekend making meals together, watching the basketball tourney, and catching up with everyone.

We headed back early on Sunday so that we could play in the snow and get in some fun with Chance and Savannah too.
I'm so glad we were able to sneak in a quick ski trip to the mountains before the close of ski season.
