Week with Grandma

After spending a few weeks chasing my tail and feeling like I was running in circles...I decided to change things up a bit.
I called my mom and asked for help because
I was feeling stressed about work, trying to finish my classes, and studying for the real estate exam all at once.
Max is still working away in the garage as well.

My mom agreed to come and stay for a week to help out.  I took the entire week of vacation from work and signed up to take my real estate exam.

The week turned out to be a complete success.  We all had a blast with mom in town. We got to play with the kids a ton and I passed all of my classes as well as my final exams for real estate.

Here are some pics of my study breaks....

Savannah loves swinging.
Chance is quite the helper.  He loves to push Savannah in the swing and make her laugh.

Chance's favorite at the park is still the slide.

He even convinced Grandma to slide with him.

We got another big snow storm and decided to try sledding on Ruby Hill again.

I only crashed once and Chance didn't seem to mind.
He just loves being pulled in that little sled.

Mom and Savannah did not participate in the downhill sledding.
The just stayed at the top and took selfies.

I have no idea how this little falling snow thing  in the picture below works.  Sometimes after I upload the pictures to the blog, it just picks a picture and decides tog give it a snow globe effect???  It's so bizarre, but I guess I kind of like it.

Because Savannah kept crawling into the tube we took her to a part of the hill with no vertical and  pushed her around in the snow.
She loved it and had the sweetest giggles.

Chance is looking back at Savannah in this picture and smiling about how much she is laughing from being pushed in the sled.

I'm so grateful that my mom was willing to come and help out for the week.

We got a lot done and had a great time too.  Thanks again mom!

Butterfly Pavilion

Our first trip to the Butterfly Pavilion was very eventful.

Chance loved looking at all of the bugs.  They have an entire section called the "crawl a see em" with different species of beetles, spiders, and bugs from all different countries.

The high light of the "crawl a see em" is that they have a live tarantula named Rosie that you can hold.  Chance saw some other children holding the spider and he decided that he wanted to also.
We waited in line.
We practiced holding our hands nice and flat,
but when the time came....Chance changed his mind.

Before I knew what was going on. this happened.
ONLY for Chance and Savannah would something like this happen!

After the tarantula, we decided to hit up the butterfly room.

Savannah loved looking at all of the butterflies.

My mom was in town for over a week so that I could study for my real estate exam.  It was so amazing to have her in town.  The kids loved having her around and we managed to fit a lot of fun times in.
This is my favorite photo of the three of them from the week.

Savannah was so very interested in the fish.

Chance was brave enough to touch a horse shoe crab.  I wish he would have found that courage a little closer to the tarantula :)

We love exploring new things with these two little souls.
They teach us something new every day.
Now I know that I am brave enough to touch a spider, if you hold really still a butterfly will sit on you for awhile, and that horse shoe crabs actually feel just like touching a rock.
Hmmm...I wonder what they will teach us tomorrow?
