Lansing Visit

We traveled back to Kansas a few weeks ago for a long visit with our families and for Ashley's college graduation.  It was so nice to spend time with family and have time to play with the kids.

Grandma Carol bought Chance a Lego set that made animals.   Chance and I laughed and laughed when we realized that the bunny looked just like Savannah.

We spent all day Friday at Mike and Carol's.

On Saturday we headed over to Topeka so that we could attend Ashley's graduation at Washburn University.  My parents made the trip to Kansas so that they could also spend time with Chance and Savannah.  My mom drove over to Lansing to pick up the kids so that they would not have to sit still for a long graduation ceremony.

With the help of my sister...my parents decided to take all four grandkids to the Deanna Rose farm for the day.

My mom said that Chance was a little shy around the goats at first, but later loved feeding them milk from a bottle.

Addison did not seem too shy.

My dad also managed to catch a few fish from the dock.

Chance was super impressed!

I'm so glad that my parents were able to have such a great day with the grandkids.

On Saturday evening, my parents brought Chance and Savannah back over to Mike and Carol's so that they could play with their cousins.
At one point we had EIGHT children in the living room all under the age of SEVEN.
I think Mike and Carol were a little overwhelmed about how crazy their quiet little house became in a matter of minutes!

There were children everywhere!

It was a little hard to get a good photo because there was just too much movement :)

Savannah decided to take her first steps!!!!

For Ashley's big graduation celebration...she chose to help Savannah learn to walk. It was such a fun night!

On Sunday I was able to spend time with my parents and then an evening with my sister at her home.  I think this is our first trip back to Kansas in a while that we actually stayed long enough to have some quality time with all of our family members.

We treated Chance to the T-Rex cafe on our last day.  It was a very relaxed and wonderful visit.
Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcomed and loved!

Megan's Bridal Shower/Derby Party

Our dear friend, Megan is marrying her college sweetheart in a few short weeks.
She wanted to have a bridal shower and her bach party here in Denver so that she could show her childhood friends and family why she loves this city so much.

Megan had college friends fly in for the weekend from Tennessee, Kansas,  and California.  I helped her pick up people at the airport and organize the shower and the events for the day.
Megan's two close friends from childhood came to the event early to help set up.

We were so lucky to be able to use Matt's rooftop loft.

Everyone pitched in and made the shower so beautiful.

A lot of Megan's friends went all out to make the day special for her.

I was impressed that everyone helped out and everything came together.

We had a blast setting up for the party and surprising Megan.

Megan's mom and cousin were able to join us for the shower and to talk with us over lunch and gifts.

We visited long into the afternoon, but then it was time for the main event.

We decided to show off Denver by attending the annual Derby Party and the convention center grounds downtown.

We had so much fun in our hats dancing and laughing.

It was great to see so many old friends from college and spend time getting to know some new ones.

I know that Megan enjoyed her day.  Thank you to everyone who came to Denver and helped make it such an amazing and memorable experience!

Savannah's Bath Time

Savannah loves loves loves bath time!

Poor thing lets Chance put bubbles all over her face.

She doesn't seem to mind as long as she is allowed to splash and splash.

She follows me everywhere with her eyes and likes to be the center of attention.

Why wouldn't she be.

Love this little girl and her crazy bath time.

Kite Flying

Spring has arrived and we have been spending many nights in the park.
One of our new favorite things to do is...fly a kite.

Here are a few images of the very first time that we taught Chance how to fly a kite.
To say he likes it would be an understatement.

We love these kids and getting to see the world through their eyes is pure joy.
