Gubbels Visits

We've managed to settle into a fairly regular and relaxing routine lately.

Friday nights are our family nights.
I usually cook a nice dinner and Max watches the kids while I cook.
Some guys have it rough...

Saturday's have become our Wash Park days.  We usually do chores around the house, run errands, and then walk to the park to meet some of our friends for volleyball.
We've fallen into such a routine that we even know exactly when to start walking to the park so that both babies will sleep in the stroller long enough for us both to play a game of volleyball!

After Chance wakes up from his nap, he immediately wants to go to the playground.
He had asked me earlier in the day to go to the "danger" slide, but I had no idea what he was talking about. When we got to the Wash Park playground, he jumped out of the stroller and ran up the steps.

He flew down the slide and then stood up and pointed at it exclaiming "danger slide"

Geez....I guess! It really does kind of sling shot the kids out at the bottom.  It was actually kind of entertaining to watch after Chance pointed it out.

After the playground I walked around the park with the kids and waited for the arrival of our old friend Jerad Gubbels.  He was coming into town from Jackson Hole Wyoming for the night and wanted to meet Savannah and spend some time with us.

By the time we made it around the lake, Gubbels had arrived and the volleyball games had come to an end for the day.

We ended up having everyone over for a BBQ in the back yard.
(Party in the back yard dirt pit...again)!

Cook entertained Chance for hours by building him a car ramp.

and
everyone loved holding Savannah.

It was great to see everyone and spend a relaxing evening with great friends.

Our Sunday was quiet and mostly routine again.
We spent the moring going for coffee, the farmer's market, and then to the playground.

We all took a quick nap and then worked together into the evening on the electrical portion of our garage.
It was a quick easy and relaxing weekend.
I can't believe how quickly the summer is passing by.
