I met one of my best friends, Brandi Andersen, literally half of my life ago in an English class at Lansing High School. Brandi and I were both new to Lansing and formed a quick friendship over our love of sports and all things witty.
Little did I know at that time, that we would be bathing our children together sixteen years later as we laughed and talked about motherhood and responsibility. I guess I should have known that Brandi would have been one of the friends that would last a lifetime. We've always had an unspoken understanding for one another.
Brandi is the kind of friend that understands me when I say nothing and that takes the words right out of my mouth when I am trying to say something poignant.
I'm so thankful that I am on the journey of being a mother with one of my oldest and most trusted friends.
I hope that I get to spend many more nights soaking in the love that only Chance and Reese could bring to our dingy little bathtub :)

Hey Buddy,
I could not have written a better tribute to our friendship. You are that friend that I could not see or talk to for months or longer and we pick right back up like we see each other everyday. You are a part of so many great stories I share and am happy that our little ones will be a part of each other's childhood. It is no surprise to me that our parenting styles as so similar focusing on fun, exploration, involvement, and making memories. I hope that we can take advantage of your schedule change and my half day Fridays the rest of the summer.
