We started 2015 off with our first trip up to the mountains for the winter. We rented Chance some skis and we have some plastic strap on beginner skis for Savannah.
We didn't quite know what to expect, but we both knew that we wanted to be the ones to teach our kids to ski so that they feel comfortable in saying what their limits are.
Our first day went a little something like this....
The car ride up went perfectly. Holding hands and singing songs.
It got a little bit scarier on the bus ride up to the Beaver Creek Resort.
We soon learned that Beaver Creek had sectioned off all areas on the bunny slopes so that you have to pay for ski school in order to use the learning area :(
We decided just to put Savannah in her skis on the flat surface just to let her get a feel for it.
She did really well and seemed to love it.
It was awesome to watch Max introduce Savannah to a sport that he loves so much!
and just in case you were wondering why I only took photos of Savannah....
it turns out that Chance's limit for the day was when we asked him to put on his ski boots.
Sorry little guy. The fit you threw was to fantastic not to capture. Now no more tears little one. There is always tomorrow and we can try again.
