Austin

Mike and Carol rented a house in Texas for a few of the winter months so we all got together for a visit on the lake.

Our trip could not have come at a better time.  Work became a little too much so it was perfect to escape for some relaxation.

Savannah just loved Adrian!

It was great to get all of the cousins together and to watch them laugh and play.

Our first day in Texas we spent some time exploring a cave right near where we were staying.

We explored the park before our cave tour.

The kids loved climbing the trees and exploring the grounds.

Just when we were about to start our cave tour, Savannah started to get antsy.  I  thought I was going to have to turn back, but Grandma Carol had the touch.

Exploring the cave.

The best part of the trip was definitely just being by the water.

We all loved sitting on the dock and swinging our feet.

My favorite afternoon was when the girls stayed home and watched the cousins play in the backyard.  Good company, some blue moons, and somersaults.  What more could you want?

Ashley went all out for Valentine's Day so that Adrian and Kennedy would not be upset about missing their parties at school.

It was really fun decorating for them before they woke up and then seeing their surprised and excited faces.

We made a day trip to Austin on Valentine's Day.

So I thought that a cowboy hat picture was a must.

We found a patio and some rocking chairs to grab some drinks and appetizers before we left for our duck tour.

Chance ran around taking photos and actually got a few great ones of our crew.

Chance was impressed with the bus that turned into a boat :)

Then it was back to the house for more family time.

We feel so lucky to have had this time to be with family.  Wonderful memories and a lot of quality time.  We hope to go again next year.
Thank you to Mike and Carol for having us.
