We had Savannah's FIRST birthday party in the park today.
It was amazing to get together with all of our friends and celebrate our sweet little Savannah!
We hung butterflies and balloons from the tree, set out food, and brought tons of toys for the kids to play with. We played everything from bubbles, to football, to bean bags. It was a blast!
Savannah hanging with her friend Alexa. They are two weeks apart and Alexa lives four houses down from us. I'm sure they will have many many many play dates during their childhood.
Savannah, Chance, and Reese building a sand castle.
Isla (from daycare) blowing bubbles for Savannah.
Brandi, my friend from high school, raking it in on the candy egg hunt.
The meeting of the minds...

Egg hunting
Chance got a little help from Kevin and Cook
only after that they found out that some of the eggs were filled with "Grade A" candy.
Cook trying to negotiate his way from a tootsie roll to a reese's peanut butter cup...
Max talking to Chance about an aggressive strategy for the egg hunt.
We ended up attracting tons of kids from the park and meeting lots of new neighbors.
Who knew how many friends you could make at a community park simply by supplying bubbles, bicycles, and candy...
Savannah's birthday cake before it got smashed!
But she sure did enjoy the cake!
Happy Birthday sweet Savannah!
Your laughter is infectious and we adore the quiet confidence in your eyes.
We've loved you since before you were born and nothing that you could ever be, say, or do will EVER change that!
