We traveled back to Kansas a few weeks ago for a long visit with our families and for Ashley's college graduation. It was so nice to spend time with family and have time to play with the kids.
Grandma Carol bought Chance a Lego set that made animals. Chance and I laughed and laughed when we realized that the bunny looked just like Savannah.
We spent all day Friday at Mike and Carol's.
On Saturday we headed over to Topeka so that we could attend Ashley's graduation at Washburn University. My parents made the trip to Kansas so that they could also spend time with Chance and Savannah. My mom drove over to Lansing to pick up the kids so that they would not have to sit still for a long graduation ceremony.
With the help of my sister...my parents decided to take all four grandkids to the Deanna Rose farm for the day.
My mom said that Chance was a little shy around the goats at first, but later loved feeding them milk from a bottle.
Addison did not seem too shy.
My dad also managed to catch a few fish from the dock.
Chance was super impressed!
I'm so glad that my parents were able to have such a great day with the grandkids.
On Saturday evening, my parents brought Chance and Savannah back over to Mike and Carol's so that they could play with their cousins.
At one point we had EIGHT children in the living room all under the age of SEVEN.
I think Mike and Carol were a little overwhelmed about how crazy their quiet little house became in a matter of minutes!
There were children everywhere!
It was a little hard to get a good photo because there was just too much movement :)
Savannah decided to take her first steps!!!!
For Ashley's big graduation celebration...she chose to help Savannah learn to walk. It was such a fun night!
On Sunday I was able to spend time with my parents and then an evening with my sister at her home. I think this is our first trip back to Kansas in a while that we actually stayed long enough to have some quality time with all of our family members.
We treated Chance to the T-Rex cafe on our last day. It was a very relaxed and wonderful visit.
Thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcomed and loved!
