Friendsgiving and Savannah can CRAWL

This past weekend was busy!
Max and I were both slammed with work and we had a number or unfinished projects that we had started the weekend before that were not complete.
We thought we were going to spend Friday night cleaning up the house and getting ready for company, but Chance and Savannah had other plans.

Chance found these funny glasses in one of the places that I was cleaning and it turned into hours of laughter and entertainment.

Oh well....I just got up early on Saturday morning to finishing prepping our house because we were hosting the 5th Annual Friends Thanksgiving for all of our friends here in Denver.
I can't believe it has been five years already, but I checked the old photo documents and it's true.

Friends Thanksgiving has become such a tradition that Drew and Tina wanted it to be over this weekend while they were back visiting family so that they could be a part.  I'm so glad that they could come.  It was great to see them again!

Max decided to expand his culinary skills this year and he went all out in roasting the turkey.  It turned out to be so juicy and delicious.  Max did a great job.

Everyone in the village made an appearance at Friendsgiving.  We always do a pot luck style so everyone pitches in.

We had an amazing spread with everything from home made stuffing to gourmet cheese.

It was so much fun to have everyone together!

Savannah spent all night trying to figure out how to go from that army crawl into the real deal, but she just couldn't quite figure it out.

Chance was exhausted by the end of the day.  Playing all day with his 30 something year old uncles is very tiresome apparently.

On Sunday....

Savannah figured out how to crawl! She was up on all fours and moving like crazy.

She could not be more proud of herself.
It has been a blast to watch her explore.

We rounded out the weekend by spending time with Max's co-workers in Castle Rock for a goodbye party for Eric.  Eric and Max have worked together at Wallace Engineering for a few years now and Eric has been a great mentor for Max.  Eric left to take on a new engineering adventure in Saudi Arabia on Monday morning.  We can not wait to hear how it goes.

We are so blessed to have so many truly amazing friendships.
It was great to take a weekend to stop and look around at all that we have.
We have much to be thankful for.
