Meeting baby Beckett

My best friend Lindsey Springer was also in Kansas at the same time as us because we attended the same wedding.

It worked out perfectly because we both stayed in town for a few extra days following the wedding.
This was my first time meeting baby Beckett who was only six weeks old.

It's amazing how quickly they grow.  I loved the little sleepy baby cuddles that I was able to get with Beckett.

I had an amazing afternoon, talking with an old friend, and introducing our babies to each other.

I can't wait for many more meetings with Beckett!
I suspect that these two will have many future play dates together.

At least....I hope so!

A Few Days with the Lehman's of Lansing

We were able to spend a few days with the Lehman family while we were back in Kansas a few weeks ago.  I'm so glad we took the extra few days off of work so that we didn't have to rush back.
We spent all day Sunday and Monday catching up with our Lehman side of the family.
We had a great visit with nothing in particular on the schedule.

Savannah loved all of the attention from Aunt Ashley and Grandma Carol.

We loved spending quality time with our niece, Kennedy

and our nephew Adrian.
They are both so sweet!

Posing for a cousins pictures is still a challenge at this age, but at least we gave it a try.

We all had fun watching the kids carve pumpkins and play together.

Carol got each of the kids some pumpkin decorations so that they could easily design their own pumpkin faces.
I think they all really liked it.

We always enjoy our relaxing time in Lansing with family.

I'm not sure Carol had any time to relax though.
Her lap sure filled up quickly when she announced that it was story time,
and this time we nailed the cousins shot!

We are already looking forward to our next Kansas trip.
Thanks to all of our friends and family who made the time to spend with us.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with my family while we were in Kansas.
It was so great! It was like a carnival/playground and perfect for Chance at this age.

I made my family take some obligatory pumpkin pose photos!

Chance jumped on the pillow blob....but only while holding dad's hand of course.

We all had a blast with the duck races.  I think it took Chance a minute to catch on,
but once he figured it out...

he wanted to stash all of his winning ducks on a nearby bench.

My parents loved holding their grandbabies and watching all of us run around the farm.

Chance and Addison in their preferred mode of transportation.

You should have seen the home made slides at this place?
I think that there were twenty different slides to chose from.
Addison and Chance LOVED it!

My dad never let go of Avery.  They are buddies for sure!

Me and Mom

It was great to have the day to watch the cousins play together.

and they definitely played...did I mention that this place had slides galor?
Chance was in pumpkin patch heaven!

So were my parents....so long as you don't offer to take a baby.

My mom did however, take a break from Savannah holding to race me down the slide.
(I want to frame this photo)

After slide after slide and races and more....it was time to search for the perfect pumpkin!

I think we all found one and had a successful day at the patch.

It was definitely one of the days that I will look back on and smile about.
Fall is my favorite season for a reason.
Today was perfect!
