Chance's First Day of Pre-K

Chance started Pre-K this year at Stephen Knight Center for Early Education.

I thought he would cry and cry on his first day at school.

The surprising thing was that he did not shed a single tear.

Instead he said, "Well, I wish I could stay little and play with you guys forever, but I've got a lot of things to do!"

Indeed you do little man!

Indeed you do!

The most surprising twist for the day was...

that Savannah cried for nearly an hour when she realized that she wasn't old enough to go with Chance to school.

These two.  My wish is that you stay this close forever!

Renaissance Festival

I'd never been to a Renaissance Festival before this year.  Our neighbors said that the one in between Colorado Springs and Denver was fantastic so we decided to make a day of it.

Chance did not know what to make of all of the pretend swords and weapons.

Savannah liked being treated like a princess.

There were so many people there in costume and in character.

Chance decided he did like play fighting.  We named him Sir Chancelot for the day and he thought that was funny.

Savannah was not impressed by the swings.

We all enjoyed the music and the atmosphere.

Did I mention that Chance decided he really liked to play with the swords.

Savannah tolerated us placing her on live animals.

All in all it was a great day.  We'll be back.
