Weston's 1st Birthday

Chance and I attended our first kid birthday party over the weekend.
Weston is a little boy that goes to the same day care as Chance and I work with his mother Amy at Family Tree.

Amy made an amazing spread of food and everything was Halloween themed.

Chance loves being around Weston...and all of the new toys!

There is something so special about wathcing a baby eat cake for the first time.  I love it!

Chance had a blast playing with all of the other litte kids.

Happy 1st Birthday Weston!

Pumpkin Patch

I apologize for being weeks behind on our pictures.
If you don't mind, I'd like to take you a few weeks back to the good ol' pumpkin patch.

As soon as we had a cool Saturday in October, we decided it was time to hit up Mile High Farms to pick out our pumpkins.  We had a few friends that wanted to come along as well.

Katie, Lauren, and Nick all joined our family for an afternoon at the patch.

We all talked and watched Chacne run in and out of the little haunted houses.

We posed for silly pictures in the haunted town.

Chance was the only one that was really into the petting zoo :)

Chance was the only one small enough to go into the jumpy castle.

I started to think that he might never come out, he liked it so much!

You know we had to spend some time at the bubble station.

We also had to check out the corn maze, but not before really checking out the map!

We had a blast and found plenty of laughs and entertainment while in the maze.

Our final stop was the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch.

We all walked the fields in search of the perfect pumpkin.

In the end, Chance picked out the tiny pumpkin in the bottom photo.  He even took a nap with it later that day.  It was a very successful trip to the patch.  We're already looking forward to going again next year!

Halloween

This past Halloween was so much fun!
I took full advantage of this year being "possibly" the last Halloween that I will ever be able to dress up Chance without his input and decided to dress him up as Mr. Fredrickson from the Disney movie Up.

What do you think of the final result?

We started out Halloween night at "Safe Street" in our neighborhood.  They close down Gaylord St near Wash Park for the kids to trick or treat at all of the businesses.  We decided to check it out because we thought it would be better to take Chance out during the daylight.

There were so many cute costumes and families dressed up as matching themes.  Chance wanted Max to carry him the whole time.  He was very uneasy about the masses of children in costumes.

I took Chance to Ms. Barb's after "safe street" because I knew it would mean a lot to her.  That one stop happened to fill up his entire pumpkin candy bucket :)
Poor Ms. Barb can't help it.  She is very smitten with Chance!

It was still light enough when we returned home so I decided to do a little photo shoot with Chance.  It was almost like he knew exactly what I wanted.

He quickly put on his glasses and then started running down the sidewalk with his balloons!

He'd pause occasionaly for a still shot and then continue running.

My photo shoot only lasted for a few minutes and then just like that, the glasses were off and he was done with trick or treating.

I hope Chance had as much fun as Max and I did.  We laughed all night at his mouth full of tootsie rolls and his little bow tie.

All of my girls came over to see Chance in costume and to help me hand out candy.  Our neighborhood got SLAMMED! It was the perfect night filled with family, friends, and candy.  Who could ask for anything more?
